Debbie Redmon

Almost a year after her initial diagnosis, Debbie lost her battle with cancer on October 26, 2005.. Many of Debbie's friends from the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra were by her side during this time, providing strength, friendship, and support, and I am sure she felt the love of this extended family.

Debbie was a long-time member of the Orchestra, playing flute, piccolo, and serving on the Board in several capacities, most recently as Vice President. Her sense of humor was infectious - she always managed to make a serious situation seem funny. One of my favorite memories is from last year during rehearsals for the Nutcracker Suite, when Debbie would use her Texan drawl to pronounce the French titles. This never ceased to make everyone laugh - and is one of the many reasons why everyone loved Debbie.
