Interested in becoming a performing member? Fort Bend Symphony's mission is to enrich the lives and the cultural climate of the community through the presentation of classical music concerts, educational programs, and collaboration with other arts organizations, providing diverse levels of performing opportunities for musicians from Fort Bend and Harris Counties.

Prospective members must arrange an appointment for an audition with the Director of Auditions

Audition material consists of:

• A 3 minute selection of your own choosing and
• Sight reading excerpts.

Non-paid vacant positions needed are:

• Immediate openings in all string sections
• Principal Percussion
  

The Fort Bend Symphony is a semi-professional orchestra with a strong community interest in one of the fastest growing counties in America.

Student members who have not graduated from secondary school are required to maintain performing membership with their school musical organization (form must be filled out and signed by their school director at the beginning of each semester). In cases in which a student is unable to fulfill this requirement, the primary music educator can waive this requirement by their signature.

Rehearsals are held every Tuesday night starting at 7:15 P.M. and held at the First United Methodist Church, 3900 Lexington Boulevard, Missouri City, TX 77459 unless otherwise noted.
