The Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra announces its auditions for the upcoming season. Auditions for the 2006-2007 season will be held by appointment from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2006.

The Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Marty Koran, Associate Conductor and Principal Second Violinist, will be featured in a special performance at the beautiful Sugar Land Town Square on Saturday, July 15 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The Fort Bend Symphony received a $1000 Volunteer Grant from the ExxonMobil Foundation

Audiences young and old will delight in the Young People's Concert featuring "Peter and the Wolf" by Sergei Prokofiev presented by the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra. This wonderful concert will be on Saturday, May 27, 2006, at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 3900 Lexington Boulevard at Murphy Road, Missouri City, Texas. The Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Dr. John Ricarte and narrated by Stafford Mayor Leonard Scarcella.

HOUSTON (February 15, 2006)—– The Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra will introduce the winners of the Seventh Annual Young Artist Concerto Competition at its concert on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 7:30 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 1220 FM 1092 and Lexington Blvd., Missouri City. Also performing will be the winners of the Houston Music Teachers Association/Houston Young Artist Competition.
